The ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 is now available in Russian, Japanese and simplified Chinese. Image containing dew-point isotherms will be displayed in the Reporter. Image containing hot/cold spots these will be displayed in the Reporter. Bug fixes --------- It’s now possible to change the external optics temperature/transmission for jpeg images. Image containing isotherms will be displayed with correct temperature in the Reporter. If a jpeg image with analysis symbols is saved in the Reporter, the analysis symbols will be displayed correctly in the camera. The profile control will not be cleared out when printing. Known issues ------------ The template utility program(TmplUtility.exe), used for correcting templates built with Reporter 7.0 or Reporter 7 SR-1, fails to operate when Reporter is upgraded, i.e. not installed for the first time. To fix this problem you have to register the NexOfficeTools.dll: o Click start and then click Run… o Type regsvr32 NexOfficeTools.dll where is the path to the ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 folder. Ex: "Regsvr32 C:\Program Files\ThermaCAM\Reporter 7.0\NexOfficeTools.dll" If the QuickView software is installed after that ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 has been installed, it will not be possible to start the Rapid Report Manager (RRM) while double clicking on an RRM icon on the desktop. The workaround for this problem is 1) Microsoft Office Word needs to be started before double clicking on an RRM icon. If Word has been started once you can double click on the RRM icon as many times you wish. OR 2) Uninstall Reporter and QuickView and then install QuickView before Reporter. Description of previous Service Releases ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 SR-3 =========================== Features -------- It is now possible to rotate an IR image (Professional edition). If an IR image contains an image description, it will be possible to display this text in the field object. Bug fixes --------- Formula results will not now show up in the result table when creating a report based on a template where the result table has been set to not show these results. Isotherms are now able to handle temperature unit changes correctly. The position of the cursor in the profile control will now be correct when profiling a poly line with a cursor. The zoom option in the context menu will now display current zoom factor. It’s now possible to add FFF files in the wizard. Double clicking on a rapid report icon will now start the Rapid Report Manager. Images created with image builder will now be displayed correctly. The 695 IR Images format and their associated photos will now be distributed correctly in the wizard. Having two documents with identical summary tables, the correct summary- table will now be updated when choosing “Update Summary Table” from the context menu. Due to a Word bug you might get the dialog “Disk Full” when trying to save the document, even if there is plenty of disk space left. You can now solve this in one of two ways: 1) A work around for this makes it now possible to avoid this, but in order for this to work you have to manually make these Word settings: For Microsoft Word XP/2003 1) Start Microsoft Word. 2) On the Tools menu, click Options. 3) Click the Security tab and choose Macro Security. 4) Click the Trusted Publishers tab, and then select Trust access to Visual Basic Project. Refer to your Microsoft Word Manual for an explanation of the implications of selecting Trust access to Visual Basic Project. 2) Make sure that the template the document is based upon is accessible. If you are using several computers on a network you need to place your templates on a common directory, accessible to all computers. ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 SR-2 =========================== Features -------- FLIR Systems AB is now certified by VeriSign, Inc. This will make it possible for a user to start Microsoft Word 2003 with security settings to high and still be able to use the ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 SR-2 toolbar. The user will be prompted that the ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 SR-2 contains macros that comes from FLIR Systems AB. From this dialog the user can choose whether to trust or not to trust macros from FLIR Systems AB. This enables the user to verify that these macros come from FLIR Systems AB and not from an unreliable source. In Microsoft Word 2003, a warning will be given if an unsafe ActiveX control is about to be initialized or scripted. The ActiveX controls used in the ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 SR-2 are now safe, both for initializing and scripting. If an IR image contains text comments an icon will be displayed, and when clicked upon the text comment dialog is opened. Bug fixes --------- It’s now possible to view the manual from the ThermaCAM menu when Acrobat Reader 4.05, or higher, is installed. It’s now possible to create formulas with label names that contain spaces. After printing a PDF file, the printer driver will be reset to the default printer driver. It’s now possible to use the keyboard arrows to navigate through text comments in the ThermaCAM wizard. It’s now possible to import Thermoteknix TGW images into the ThermaCAM wizard with the Add Images button. In some cases the labels in the table had duplicated characters at the end of the string. This will not be a problem anymore. However, if you experience a template that generates tables with duplicated characters you can correct this in the following way: 1) Open the template and mark the text in the table and delete it. 2) Right click on the table and choose refresh. 3) Save the template. It’s now possible to use ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 for several accounts on the same computer. Known issues ------------ ThermaCAM Reporter SR-2 might crash when creating a report using a template that was created in an earlier version of ThermaCAM Reporter. The SR-2 patch will update the templates that are saved in the default directory, i.e. the IR directory. If you have your templates saved in a different location and find that Word crashes when you create a report based on one of these templates, you can either manually fix the template or use the utility program that is shipped with ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 SR-2 to correct the erroneous templates. How to fix a template manually 1) Open the template from Microsoft Word. 2) Scroll down to the last page and place the cursor at the end of the page. 3) Insert a new page by pressing + . 4) Insert an IR image by clicking on the Insert IR button. 5) Select the IR image by clicking on it. 6) Delete the IR image by clicking on the Delete Selected Object button. 7) Remove the page, created in step 3, by pressing + . 8) Save the template. How to fix templates using the utility program TmplUtility.exe 1) Locate the directory where the ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 is installed and start the utility program by double click on it. 2) Follow the on-screen instructions. When an Office Update is downloaded and installed, Microsoft Word by default resets the security settings to High. ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 requires, at the most, the medium security setting to work properly. If you find that you are unable to work with ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 because Word enters Design Mode when opening an IR-document it’s likely that the security settings are set to high. The following behavior indicates that Microsoft Word has entered Design Mode. 1) When you click on an IR-image the Analysis toolbar buttons, e.g. the Spotmeter tool, does not become enabled. 2) Double-clicking an IR-image opens the Microsoft Visual Basic Editor. 3) The toolbar "Control Toolbox" is typically shown, with the Design mode button enabled and selected. The Design mode button looks like a pencil with two rulers. Follow the steps below to change the security settings to medium to continue working with ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0. For Microsoft Word XP/2003 1) Start Microsoft Word. 2) On the Tools menu, click Options. 3) Click the Security tab. 4) Under Macro Security, click Macro Security. 5) Click the Security Level tab, and then select Medium. For Microsoft Word 2000 1) Start Microsoft Word. 2) On the Tools menu, click Macros and then select Security. 5) Click the Security Level tab, and then select Medium. Refer to your Microsoft Word Manual for an explanation of the implications of the different Security Settings available. You have to be logged on with administrator rights to be able to convert a document to a PDF file. ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0 ====================== Known issues ------------ Due to an error in Microsoft Word 2000 and Microsoft Word XP, Word might crash when closing. Your document is not lost, because when the crash occur all data in the document has already been saved. The document will be recovered next time Word is started. To avoid this crash use Microsoft Word 2003, or make sure that you always click on an IR image before you close the document or shut down Word. When opening reports or templates created with ThermaCAM Reporter 6.1, you need to follow the steps below to make them work in Reporter 7.0. However, you only need to do it once for a template or report. 1) Open the report/template as usual. 2) Scroll down to one of the IR images and click on it. 3) Save the report/template. 4) Open the report/template again. The report/template is now ready to be used in ThermaCAM Reporter 7.0.
